When true love awakens a century of dreams 

Once upon a time, a beautiful princess is cursed to sleep deeply for a hundred years until awakened by a prince’s kiss. Renowned international ballet dancer and choreographer Vladimir Malakhov (HKB’s La Bayadère) weaves a powerful tale of good triumphing over evil as Princess Aurora and Prince Desiré overcome the evil fairy Carabosse with the help of the good Lilac Fairy. Considered the most perfect classical ballet ever created, The Sleeping Beauty is best known for its glorious Tchaikovsky score and intricate choreography, which requires intense precision, strength and stamina. 

This new production features international guest artists, including Bolshoi Theatre Principal Elizaveta Kokoreva, National Ballet of Canada Principal and former Hong Kong Ballet dancer Tirion Law, Dutch National Ballet Principal Maia Makhateli, and The Australian Ballet Principal Artist Davi Ramos. Malakhov who will also play Carabosse in select performances. The Sleeping Beauty’s fantastical characters and fanciful wedding celebration will have audiences falling under the spell of this bewitching fairytale masterpiece!
